Online B reflection

Technology is important because we need to be up-to-date with everything that is going on. Technology has changed alot, from big cell phones plugged into the wall to iPhones that are capable of 4g networks. I think technology will change over 5 years from smart phones will eventually turn into 3D phones that will eventually be able to communicate through face to face with out being there. I use microsoft word, excel, and power point for school. And when I don't have microsoft, i like to use google docs. I only mainly use the computer, phone, and television. I do think that i will use some of the tools that i have learned in this class. The tool that i think is the most helpful would be the google docs that i learned to use. I will never ever use digital story again! I enjoyed the google docs the most especially since you can work with other people on the same document at the same time all the time. My least favorite tool that i have used would indefinitly be digital story.

Google Docs is less friendly compared to Windows live because ou are unable to use the same and retrieve the same quality of things to use for projects.

Reflection for Digital Career project

This project was pretty long and tidious but at the same time useful, especially since we'll be needing this in our future job careers. The most difficult and longest part of the project was probably the weebly page. That part wsa long and very uninteresting. I also have a hard time working with weebly. The easiest part of the project was the slide show because I already knew what I needed to research and what informatino to obtain to complete it.

Career Assemsment

My cluster is Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security. Which also means I could be a police officer or a lawyer. For this cluster you need to have a level head for intense situations. You also need to think quickly and efficiently and also you need to pay attention to detail in order to see if some one is telling you the truth or is lying to you. I am ok with this choice because I do enjoy working with people and also enjoy putting criminals in jail or making sure that people who are hurt are able to be at ease knowing that the culprit(s) are in custody. I would like to be a prosecuting lawyer if anything.

Google Documents allows you to be able to use applications that are able to help you create graphs documents etc. Assistive technology allows you to use certain technologies to help you with physical road blocks such as deaf, blind, things in that nature. Electronic portfolios allow you to create a portfolio for people who wish to hire and are wishing to gain more information about you. Wiki's are things that allow you to edit information incase that information is not accurate or you know more information that is not included in the paragraph.

Spring Break

1. I agree that people might be a little more cautious about what they post online, but at the same time people I believe don't really care.
2. I would be very embarrassed, frustrated and disappointed in myself, mostly because I am responsible for my actions so i should act accordingly.
3. Yes, i think it is finally nice to hear things about social networking, but the problem is that our generation doesn't need the distractions that we have. Including Facebook, Twitter, e.t.c. and we need to stop abusing and  limit on how much time we spend on these social networking cites because it is getting to be an addiction more than a tool.

Project wrap up assignmeent

What i like about Google docs is that is very user friendly, it has many applications, and its free. I disliked google docs for one reason, i couldn't paste my pictures or my details from websites. I enjoyed working on the same project and document with my partner because we could communicate with out actually talking to eachtother. Google could improve their Google docs by updating the software of the application, adding new features and such. I think my project turned out pretty well, it had plenty of graphics and great info, and i enjoyed working with my partner.

This article was about the new app of "Angry Birds Space". This new version brings new changes, most important gravity. Which allows people to preform "trick-shots" on unsuspecting pigs.The game has 60 levels and more in the in-game store to recieve more birdy fun! There are new birds, and regular FREE updates to the game!

My article was Megan Meier, she wsa a 13 year old girl who was cyberbullied by other older girls and was being harrased. These girls were saying that she was in a sexual relationship with an older boy and she couldnt handel the stress and took her own life. That is just a terrible thing to do no mater what went on between two or more people.

Google Policy

I was not able to find the differences about the old policy and new upcoming policy, so i am going to post 3 new facts with the new policy. Google will be watching and tracking all of its products, from searches, phones, and Gmail. The article was short but to the point, it is stating that google is getting to nosey in our (Google users) business. Yes, it is their website but it is an invasion of privacy against us. But, on the other hand we did agree to the terms and conditions so that was a risk we had to take whether we like it or not. Just don't search anything stupid or something that you don't want anyone to know about if it affects you that much.

I am neutral when it comes down to it, I really don't care whether they change the policy or don't because i have nothing to hide from anyone at anytime.

The case that i have chosen is between Kanye West and Vincent Peters, in 2010 Peters filed a suit against West because of his song "stronger" that West supposedly took from Peters after he gave John Monoply in 2006. The verdict was in Kanye's favor when the lawsuit was overturned and found not guilty.

Internet Safety

Internet safety to me is when you make sure you dont say things to people you wouldnt say in person.

The three most important things are to not post or say things you wouldnt say in person. Be careful that you dont post photos of you that are discriminating against you or other people. Be careful about people online because not everyone is who they say they are.

I learned that there are giant creeps out there in the world.

I can make sure that i dont talk to complete strangers and dont give out my personal information to people i dont know and make sure that i dont go on websites that i dont know what they are and that could have bad consequences. 

Feed Readers

Google reader is my favorite feed reader. The other readers(bloglines and feed demon)were very confusing to figure out, google reader was easily understood and has a great layout. Bloglines was simple, but very cluttered in the search area where it had limited search topics.
